MUSIC

The music behind the art.

At the heart of BAD THINGS GOOD REASONS (BTGR) is Étienne, an alt-pop singer-songwriter born in a small Canadian town and now living in Toronto. His music translates his point of view into sound — mixing fantasy with real lived experience, so that each song stands out through its own specific atmosphere and tone.

His songs speak of love, heartbreak, grief, and longing — all interspersed with wry social commentary. Every track is a world of its own, built on honest emotion and the joy of making.

Where the music meets the brand.

These songs are the soul of BTGR. When multidisciplinary artist Maryam Vedadi turned Étienne's lyrics into the designs of the WILD collection, she was translating not just words but the world they create — proof that music, given to another artist's hands, can become something new. The music doesn't just inspire the art; it is the art, worn and shared.

An open-ended project.

As a recently established artist, Étienne's career leaves much space for what's to come — and the best song is almost certainly the next one. Marked by self-exploration, his musical project is ever-changing. The one constant: an honest love of the music and an undeniable sense of joy.

Own the music, physically.

The songs behind the collection are now being printed, and physical copies will be available to order soon — on vinyl records and CDs. There's nothing quite like holding the music in your hands, and we can't wait to share it with you. Stay tuned for the release.
