THE WILD COLLECTION
About the Artist
Introducing the WILD Collection — designed in collaboration with Maryam Vedadi
Maryam Vedadi is an Iranian-Canadian, multidisciplinary artist, based in Toronto. Her practice consists of creating paintings, objects, and videos, which work together to build and actualize an imagined world.
Rooted in her personal experience, with Iranian art and literature heavily featured in her process; her work explores universal themes of home, belonging, love, loss, identity, aging, fertility, and more.
The imagery created for this collection is Maryam’s visual interpretation of Etienne’s lyrics which tell stories of being young, free, in love, and finding who you are. She was inspired and intrigued by the sonic world Etienne had been curating. Her passion for connecting different artforms and birthing them into something tangible made this project the perfect fit.
Together, they brought Bad Things Good Reasons to life.
